Fall & Winter Class Schedule

My Fall & Winter class schedule begins November 23rd. I will be offering Gentle Yoga twice weekly & a Beginner Yin Yoga class on Fridays. In the New Year Yoga Nidra will be added to my schedule. There will be a break during the Holiday Season in December with classes resuming the first week of January. I will be using Squarespace for booking classes online. Because class size will be limited due to the current Covid-19 Regulations set out by Bonnie Henry the Public Health Officer in BC, you will need to book online to ensure a space is available. Because I have a small intimate studio, & must allow for the required social distancing, I can only accommodate 4 students per class. These time we are living in are certainly presenting us all with some daunting challenges, however, I want to rise to meet those challenges with an open heart & a firm determination to continue to share, grow & expand. Covid-19 regulations are mandatory for this sector & proof of vaccination must be presented for access. Practicing with your own mat & towel is recommended if possible. Please come dressed in your yoga attire as change rooms are not available. Eye pillows with remove-able covers for washing are available for purchase to use for Savasana, meditation or general sleeping aids if you wish to have one & do not have your own. The sharing of personal equipment that cannot be washed is not permissible. Both classes offered will be 90 minutes in length.      The practice of yoga began for me as a teenage girl. I spent many years after my first experience with yoga catching a class when I could, practicing at home when time was of the essence, & at times abandoning all but brief asanas all together. When I look back over the years, I realize how available yoga has always been to me, even a short practice had the capability of energizing me & awakening me to the limitless possibilities that life had to offer. My mat has become a place of precious solitude, where I can stretch & grow my body, my mind & connect to my soul. It has brought with it a tribe where I feel welcome without judgement or expectation to be anything other than who I am.. Yoga continues to empower me as an older woman, & I am moving into my latter years with joy, strength & looking at new horizons. My mat has been with me on beaches, in the forest, in RV's while it rained & many a hotel room. It has even come with me to hospice settings & hospital wards, giving me a few minutes break when I needed it in the visitors lounge.

     Yoga can help you in ways you never dreamed possible. It can help to restore function to your body, help to calm your mind. & relieve some of the tension that we all experience. Yoga can take you on a journey to explore yourself in new ways with each practice that you do. Yoga means "Yoking together" taking your breath & awareness to your body, where all three can meet together in unity.
